Stand erect with both feet together and arms on your sides.

Align the body perfectly vertical and feel tall.

Open the legs with a jump so that the feet are placed on the floor about 75 centimetres apart.

Inhaling deeply, stretch your arms on the sides at the shoulder level and parallel to the floor.

Exhaling, slowly bend towards your right side lowering the right arm down and raising the left arm up. Try to place the right palm on the floor by the side of the left foot. The left arm should be raised perpendicular to the floor.

Stay in the posture for a few seconds according to your capacity.
Inhaling slowly come back and take a normal breadth . The point of concentration should be manipura chakra (lumbar energy center).
Benefits: This asana tones up the whole body. It removes stiffness in the trunk, legs and hips, corrects deformity in the legs. This asana also stimulates the nervous system .
