- Stand erect with heels together and toes apart.
- Keep your eyes open and look in front of you. Breathe normally throughout the asana
- Bend the leg and knee and raise it so that the left thigh becomes parallel to the floor. The left foot should point away from the body and slightly to the right. Bend the right knee slightly.
- Place the left arm in the line with left thigh with the palms and fingers facing down.
- The Left hand should be as close to the left thigh as possible.
- Bend the right arm so that the right elbow is above the left wrist. The right palm should face forward with forearm in vertical position.
- Stay in the position for sometimes as per your capacity and then come back.
- Repeat on the other side interchanging the positions of hands and legs.
- Relax in horse pose. Normalize your breathing and circulation before proceeding further.
The point of concentration is Ajna charka (medullar energy centre).
Benefits: The asana develops control of the body, improves mental concentration and balances the nervous system. The legs become supple. It tones the muscles of the hips and legs and also stimulates the chest muscles.
