Sit in a comfortable position
Close your eyes and relax for a minute
Now begin to gently repeat a word or a phrase to yourself, over and over at whatever pace or speed you like. The word or phrase is your "mantra." Think the mantra. And keep thinking the mantra for twenty minutes.
When you notice you have stopped thinking your mantra, gently start up again.
When twenty minutes have passed, stop thinking your mantra and sit quietly for a minute or so.
Then slowly open your eyes and start your day.
