Chinese define medication as sitting still, doing nothing, or mental fasting. Just as physical fasting purifies the essences of the body by withdrawing of all external input of food, the mental fasting purifies the mind and restores the sprit’s primal powers by withdrawing all distracting thoughts and disturbing emotions from the mind. It keeps a retention focus in the present movement and with it we become mindful.

Meditation is a three step process that leads to a state of consciousness that brings serenity, clarity, and bliss.
